About the Book

Hattie is used to her deceased husband Gary dropping in and out of her life. His timing might not always be great, but at least he’s still around. Although – when Hattie tentatively tries a spot of dating – his interference isn’t entirely welcome.
Best friend Cat is lapping up her new relationship with teacher Jamie, but ex-husband Stewart isn’t prepared to fade into the background.
Hattie’s mother Rachel faces a daunting battle, one she doesn’t want to burden family and friends with. But there’s someone waiting in the wings who might be more than a shoulder to cry on.
Gary still doesn’t know what his mission on earth is, and spirit guide Clarence isn’t offering any clues? Will an encounter with another provide him with answers, or put Hattie in an impossible situation?
Prepare for more laughs and tears in the second instalment of a trilogy which takes a darkly comic look at life … and the afterlife.

My Review

With thanks to the author for the copy received. This book follows on immediately from book one. I strongly advise that you read them in order, the story is one that definitely linked, and all of the characters individual storylines continue from where they were left.
If you have read book one you will be aware that there is now more than Hattie who can see Gary. Cat is mortified, wondering exactly what Gary has seen while she has been unaware of his presence. Gary has a dilemma, In his other world he has met somebody who is desperate for his help. he just doesn’t know the best way to help him. Hattie is pleased that more of her friends and family are aware of Gary still being present but is unaware of further upset to come.
I was very happy to read the second part of the novel. It was good to meet up with the characters again. That is, with the exception of one. I really hope that Gary can come up with a way of getting rid of this individual. There is some laughter and good times but there is also sadness, the battle that her mother faces and Gary’s problems are ones that I hope can be solved without too much upset.
A cliffhanger ending with a slight difference and I’m looking forward to seeing how it will be resolved.
